I love working with clients whose mindset or lack of self-belief may be holding them back from achieving their goals, whether that’s a lack of confidence in the gym after a change in physique or simply not believing in what they’re capable of. I’m a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer with 5 years’ experience and a background in competitive running, swimming and surfing. My coaching style is supportive and science-informed, helping clients build the strength and fitness they need to cope with the demands of everyday life while also flourishing in their sport. One client came to me after a nasal operation, having lost much of her running fitness and being unable to do impact work or strength training. She was particularly upset at losing her main outlet for stress. We gradually rebuilt her training volume over a few weeks, and she was soon back to running continuously and at pace for over 30 minutes. I became a PT to help others discover the love of movement that supported me through some of the hardest times in my own life. I challenge clients to go beyond what they initially think they’re capable of, while creating a safe environment where they can feel nervous, communicate openly and work through any barriers.
